who is sitoë?

I'm a fiber artist and mechanical engineer leading Unknot, a fiber design studio specialized in woven and knotted functional forms.

My love of sustainability, fashion, foraging (of the natural and trash variety), and intuitive design drive my work. Weaving these interests together has led me to three paths of research and exploration:

weaving in 3D… and designing the looms that make it possible

testing the knotting potential of found and discarded materials

developing accessible biomaterial recipes adapted to knotting and weaving
